1c. First Edition Second State – variant

There is a variant of the First Edition Second State which is exactly the same except for the publication data on the verso of the title page. This variant is a bound hardback but includes the statement “This paperback edition first published in 1987” and lower down the ISBN 0-571-14716-X which is the first paperback edition ISBN. The dustjacket carries the hardback ISBN. See photos below to compare the different versions.
