Note 1: A recording of Opera Australia at the Sydney Opera House in February 2005. The booklet accompanying the CD set includes the complete lyrics by Stoppard.
Note 2: The opera with lyrics written by Tom Stoppard for the Glyndebourne Touring Company was first performed in October 1983. The opera programme does not include Stoppard’s lyrics and neither does the book about the Glyndebourne production (with sets designed by Maurice Sendak and directed by Frank Corsaro).
